ELIGIBILITY: Open only to permanent, legal United States residents who are physically residing in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands and other United States territories), and who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the start of the Contest Period. Officers, directors, and employees of Contest Entities (as defined below), members of these persons’ immediate families (spouses and/or parents, children, and siblings, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), and/or persons living in the same households as these persons (whether or not related thereto) are not eligible to enter or win the Contest. Entrants must be willing to voluntarily submit to and complete a background check. “Contest Entities”, as referenced herein, shall include Universal Pictures Marketing, a division of Universal Film Exchanges LLC, 100 Universal City Plaza, Bldg. 2160, 8th Floor, Universal City, CA 91608 (“Sponsor”), and Ideas United, LLC, 200 Arizona Ave NE, Suite 104, Atlanta, GA 30307 (“IU”) and each of their parent, subsidiary, and affiliate companies, and administrative, advertising, and promotion agencies, and any other entity involved in the development, administration, promotion, or implementation of the Contest. Winner (defined below) must be available to travel to Los Angeles, CA from December 17, 2019, through December 19, 2019.
HOW TO ENTER: As part of your Entry (as defined below), you will be required to submit a short film (“Film”) on the following theme: “Delivering an urgent message”. The Film must be no longer than two minutes (02:00), must be filmed as one (1) continuous, unbroken shot, must show at least one (1) interior location and one (1) exterior location, and must contain a minimum of two (2) characters.
The Film must have been created by you, and you must have permission of any person who appears or is identified in the Film. You must ensure that any person who appears or is identified in the Film consents to the airing of the Film in any medium. If any minors appear in the Film, the entrant must be that minor’s parent and/or legal guardian. Professional Films with watermarks are not eligible. The Entrant is responsible for licensing any and all licensable material included in the Film, including footage, photos, and music (“Licenses”). Sponsor reserves the right to clear Film elements and secure any necessary Licenses. Any Licenses must include public in-venue distribution rights, as well as for on-air and digital distribution rights. By submitting the Film, the entrant grants Sponsor the right to air the Film on a non-exclusive basis for a period of one (1) year from the date of submission.
To enter the Contest, during the Contest Period, upload your Film to a public social media platform (e.g. Instagram TV, Facebook, YouTube, etc.), tag the post with #1917OneShotChallenge, and then visit www.1917OneShotChallenge.com to submit your Film, first name, last name, date of birth, email address and phone number (the “Entry”).
